Research Team – Project Administrator
Reporting to the Research Manager
Responsibilities
- Setup all new projects in accordance with established standards and guidelines
- Performs internal and external research requests in a timely, thorough manner
- Perform project archiving according to established best practices, including scanning, coding and plan placement, as necessary
- Assist the GIS Manager as required which may include database entry or updates, etc
- Helps maintain an organized filing system from project initiation through to project completion, for easy and reliable retrieval
- Liaise with the Project Managers and other members of the IBW team
- Contribute and be an active participant of the Research Team through meetings and day to day interactions
- Provide Administrative Assistant support, including first point of contact with clients whether on the phone or in person
- Assist in training new staff
- Responsible for archiving and organizing records
- Help develop and maintain complete and organized Research Team documentation, including the Research Team Intranet page
Required Experience
- Preferred background in GIS, record archiving, title searching
- Completion of post secondary education in a related field
- Experience with electronic document formatting
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of municipal websites to obtain various information such as zoning by-laws, conservation authority mapping, etc.
- An understanding of Land Surveying in Ontario
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, confidence
- Comfortable with computer systems and software
- Quick learner, and good listening skills.
