IBW Surveyors has an extensive experience when it comes to volume calculations.
The measurements are collected with high-end equipment, and many of the piles are measured with a 3D Laser Scanner. With this technology we are able to measure locations that are not safely accessible, such as materials against a wall and/or materials stored in bins.
For volume calculations, we determine the surface around the pile, generate a digital terrain model, and perform accurate calculations generating a report showing the volume as well as the area covered by the piles/berms/etc.
Volume values for pre and post construction can be calculated in order to precisely determine volume of fill removed or added.
