Role

The Records Technician (RT) is responsible for archiving and organizing historic records and integrating them into the IBW research system, following the established archival techniques.

Responsibilities

Reporting – The Records Technician reports to the Research Manager, with daily supervision from the Research Supervisor

  • Responsible for archiving and organizing records obtained from purchased firms and integrating them into the IBW research system
  • Perform project archiving according to established best practices, including scanning, coding and plan placement, as necessary
  • Sort, organize and recycle historic documentation for archival purposes
  • Document scanning
  • Historic file reduction
  • Digital organization and naming of archived records
  • Assist the GIS Supervisor as required which may include database entry or updates, etc
